In 1970s Los Angeles, La Llorona is stalking the night—and the children. Ignoring the eerie warning of a troubled mother suspected of child endangerment, a social worker and her own small kids are soon drawn into a frightening supernatural realm.
Their only hope to survive La Llorona’s deadly wrath may be a disillusioned priest and the mysticism he practices to keep evil at bay, on the fringes where fear and faith collide. - Warner Bros Entertainment, Inc
It's strange how, when we first start watching this one, it's all good with us. But as we continue reluctantly peering in, without really knowing, we're mysteriously drawn so deep into the drama that we actually "lose" our place. No longer are we "watching" the movie (as it becomes) but we're now so engaged that we've become part of it - we're in it....spectating from within - but "untouchable" .... until something suddenly creeps up out of nowhere, then - "attacks" us! Whew! Good thing we get the option to "escape." Close - but not quite close enough. - RAE
